ANDREW FARROW: your Cleadon Park candidate

The Independent Alliance are proud announce that Andrew Farrow, a prominent fundraiser with a well known international charitable organisation will be their candidate in Cleadon Park in the forthcoming local elections in May 2010.

Andrew Farrow who lives in the ward was born and bred in South Shields, attending Westoe Secondary School until moving to Nottingham at the age of fourteen. He returned to South Shields in 2002 with his wife and mother-in-law who he helps to look after in their home. He works for a local firm of consulting engineers and is very interested in community activities and the future of the borough.

Cllr Jane Branley, leader of the Independent Alliance said, ‘I am very pleased to welcome Andrew to our campaigning team. He is an intelligent young man who genuinely wants to make a difference to the area in which he lives.’ The team will be visiting residents in the ward to introduce Andrew and to discuss any concerns they may have. Andrew commented, ‘This is a very good way to get to know people in the area and to ensure that I understand exactly what the problems are. In my experience all other councillors just think they know what’s best and don’t bother to consult the people.’
