West Park deserves better

The Independent Alliance believes that the people of West Park are not getting the representation they deserve.

Ask yourself these simple questions:

Can you name your Progressive councillors?
When was the last time you saw one of them?
Have they ever knocked on your door to ask if you have any problems?
Have they ever sent you anything other than a leaflet asking you to vote?
Do you know what they are doing on the council on your behalf?

We would suggest that for many of you the answers would be:

I don’t know!
Never!
No!
No!
No!

You elected councillors to represent you, to speak on your behalf and we would guess to oppose the Labour Group. Unfortunately you have councillors who appear to be working closely with the Labour Group rather than questioning what they are doing or opposing them. They never object to any Labour proposals, they vote with them on every occasion possible, they have even accepted paid positions, on top of their £7,000 plus a year, from Cllr Iain Malcolm, Labour leader of the Council.

The Independent Alliance is the only group on the Council who actively oppose the Labour Party. That is what you voted for and unfortunately have not got in the form of the Progressives.
